As you may have expected, I completely forgot about this challenge. It didn't even come up in the middle of the night as I was trying to fall back asleep or even as I glanced at my journal (where I'm also keeping track of where I am on the challenge)...
...Lol, opening up a new tab to find the challenge, and the thumbnail for my blog is still the previous layout. Man, that says something about how old the layout was if a new computer isn't used to the new one :D
Anyway, day 5: a song that makes me sad/cry
oh my Lord this is an easy one and I love-hate-not-really-sure this song for it--
"Say Something (I'm Giving Up on You)"
what really killed me was when they played it at RFL this year like OUT OF ALL THE SETTINGS .____.
I'm going to put a link just to make you guys cry/sad too. (I'm not normally this sadistic but I really despise what this song does to my emotions.)
...so I missed all the emotional days, huh? I don't get angry very often (if at all), so this is hard...
Um...
*surfs through YouTube history*
*still struggles finding a song that makes me experience anger*
Well, here are two of the songs I considered--
"Banga Banga!" by Austin Mahone (mainly the music video, though... I would get into that but I'll link a video that rants how I feel perfectly :D)
"Numb" by Linkin Park
^I'll embed this one. Just in case you'll think it's Banga Banga haha :D
I don't mean to be rude but that is the most vague prompt I have ever heard. New? New to me, or to the billboards? Live, as in at a concert or a one-time show? and artist? so it could mean a single musician but it could also mean a band or even a musician more recognized than their band. Or even an actual artist that does paintings and sculptures and drawings. lol jk about the last part. but really.
I've only seen one artist (music-wise) live, and his name is Chris Tomlin. He is phenomenal. <-- to the point I saw him twice. Christian concerts are radically different, so I've heard. Well, if Aaron Pelsue Band counts (it was more of a retreat thing) they're pretty awesome, too. The love for God is so obvious. Yes, I got one of their CDs. (Save the Earth, 2011)
The only artist I can think of, at the moment, is Shawn Mendes. Frickin' Portuguese-British-born-Canadian who's younger than me (only by a smidgen) and already rocking his voice out. Bro. I die every time. He also went on tour with Austin Mahone last year :D :D
Anyway, I'll post one of my favorite songs by him. His album Handwritten is wonderfully heartwarming. Thanks, Shawn Mendes. Keep that pretty face and voice of yours as amazing as it is now.
