i realized that .winzip was only a trial on my computer and thus i could not download a copy of the LFT ellipsis (day 10), so i made my own. hope you like it : ) yay! ok, and my favorite song last year (flash-back friday woohoo) was "just give me a reason." the link is just a cover and the original artists are there and all. so yeah.

time to sleep (or at least get ready to sleep) for me :D
joann day 6 (8/16 Saturday): a food that i could eat forever is... day 7 (8/17 Sunday): as you all know i have too many favorite quotes. so here's just a few. day 8 (today): a skill i would love to learn is to be ambidextrous so well that people couldn't even tell which hand i used to write/draw/etc. :D
i have a race later today so i'm trying to spend minimal time on the computer. wish me luck ;] joann did you notice how there was a #tbt every seven days after #5? well that stands for throwback thursday. unfortunately since this live for tomorrow challenge was from last year, those thursdays became fridays. so now we have flashback fridays. yay! although i have many favorite memories. so i will do more of a mash-up of all of them that i can think of off the top of my head. i was going to post some funny video (again) and cool pictures, but i'll leave that to my et cetera page, sorry :P
here goes. my brother and i listening to music to help me sleep after not having slept for 20 hours, him rushing to the hospital 15 minutes after my mom called him, his teardrops falling on my face my dad and i on my sixteenth birthday discussing the heat transfer of hitting your head on a refrigerator, me joking about a dinosaur being at the zoo, seeing the giraffes and wondering how my pillow pet could possibly survive laughing with my mom for hours, riding the plane with her and her awful memory, going to random stores and driving strangers crazy, playing Chinese chess and pulling a totally unexpected move (i.e. my "pao" eating her "jiang") cupcakes and birthday cakes and laughing till the six pack won't go away and ice cream and cheeks hurting from smiling and little adorable children and painting and playing piano and reading books outside and listening to austin mahone and cody simpson songs i've never heard before and watching romantic scenes of movies alone i love my life. ;P there you go. joann :)
hi! today's task is to write/blog about someone i'm grateful for. so here she is: wendy :) wendy has been my friend since (literally) God knows when, but my earliest memory with her would have to be her coming to my house and us mailing letters to each other, even though we were sitting right next to each other. i feel like we can always talk about anything, even those awkward SG camp-outs we were forced to go to (see first picture from the left). as we grew older we got to know each other even better than before and always made sure to have fun (see middle picture). we would have cookie parties and piano hearings and sometimes just chatting with each other on Friday evenings or Sunday mornings. she's someone who has stuck with me through and through during my sickness- be it giving up two hours that she could be doing stats homework, or patting my back while crying. she ran cross country with me the year i moved back, sophomore year, and said so many encouraging things (one of them credit to uncle Reggie XD). so look at us now! (kind of. that picture was taken a few years ago..) she's going to school out of state now, and i'm about to graduate. i'm trying to be subtle here. not working. so here's to my candle and goodreads buddy, wendy~~~ also i know this is so off-base, but here's a really funny video... Post by Rodrigo Pires. k baiiiii.

yayyyy i'm a 'mahomie'...lol, it's a really cute song and i can never stop smiling when i watch the music video, so obviously when i discovered this PIANO version i just had too much happiness building up inside of me that i smiled idiotically at the computer desktop thing. austin's great, guys. his other songs that are really sweet include "shadow" and "all i ever need" : )
thanks for reading~ joann
well, life has been alright. i think it's been 13 or 14 days since i've gotten back, and i actually did not have jet lag this time. which is really good considering what happened last time. plus i went back to XC after running for a day so there's a perk about XC there. also, thanks to the awesome app LINE, i got to talk to my new friend alen from Taiwan :) normally long-distance calls are REALLY expensive, but now i not only get to send him free texts (if there's wi-fi), but free calls/voice messages too. this goes for all my Taiwan friends too. so great. going back to church was fun. except for when my class kind of neglected me about a volunteer service opportunity at Matthew 25. :( they said they won't forget me again. i don't want to be in that "lost sheep" spot again. *shudders* i'm actually surprised at how well i'm doing in xc. you'd think i'd have to stop to walk or like over-hydrate but things have been alright... just we're doing 1000-meter repeats tomorrow... which i suppose is kind of an equivalent of our 6-mile workout (?) from last week. *shrugs* my first meet is coming up next week though! that's exciting. it's always fun to have a race at 7:55 pm...not even joking :). i suppose i should go practice piano or do something else productive. maybe even play Chinese chess with my koala bear. eight is not too young of an age for her to start learning. : D
oh! and i'll post the trailers/etc for the movies i watched on the plane ride home. speaking of which there was a belgian person. and french and just so many nationalities on planes transferring back home. so coolz. ciao, joann |
