Here are the last several days of the thirty day challenge! Maybe sometime soon, I can do another challenge but actually have a day-by-day thing instead of a compilation. All I have to do is go on heckyeahtumblrchallenges. :D
Day 22 - How have you changed in the past 2 years?2012: i was very...open about my experiences and completely off medication. i thought i had finally conquered mental disease and received my wish to move back to sycamore. i thought i was going to Europe and actually went to Disney World. I was also abnormally outgoing....
2013: i got kind of crazy with my note-writing and winter retreat, i started recording my life in poetry/pulling all-nighters. i was hospitalized again :( but i got lots of support. even though it was an awful school year, i had a wonderful birthday and summer break full of rest, stability, and satisfaction. junior year started out kind of boring, but i enjoyed and appreciated how well life was treating me:).
2014: and now it's just been getting better and better. junior year ended successfully and i'm super excited for senior year. plus Taiwan has been a blast. I'm also looking forward to XC season with our new coaches :).
Day 23 - Give pictures of 5 guys who are famous who you find attractive.i'll list them and then link pictures :D.
Day 24 - Your favorite movie and why.i made the classic mistake of not seeing the "why" and listing not only one movie, but seven of them lol. Here goes:
The Book Thief
The Fault in Our Stars
Mulan (did you know it was actually based on a true Chinese story? cool beans, no? or should i say cool rice...)
i should post the trailers/songs for these movies... hm. we'll see. :)
Day 25 - Someone who fascinates you and why.Rudy Steiner from The Book Thief because he's so brave and admires Liesel so adorably and openly. I also like how he carries his ball (kickball..) everywhere and says "you're an idiot, but you're our kind of idiot." :D He painted himself black to be like Jesse Owens, "fastest man in the world" and really won a track 100m dash. And yes, when I say Owens is the fastest man in the world, I'm speaking about the 1940s, not the 21st century. He threw himself into a freezing river to get Liesel's book and later shouted "I hate Hitler!" And even if his last words were cliche, they were also sincere. <3
Day 26 - What kind of person attracts you.I like funny people. A lot. Dorks are cute. heh. uhh. They have to like me enough to be brave enough to make fun of me but also smart and chill enough to know when to stop. I'd give a name for an example but then all heck would break loose, so...
Day 27 - A problem that you have had.I'm going to go with a vague, old problem. I used to wash my hair right before I slept and I usually slept pretty late (I still don't understand how I was still growing after that) and so I'd wake up with my hair kind of wispy. I also had a bad habit of sleeping face-down at that time and my friend, when I slept over at her house, said she didn't understand "how in the world I could breathe." lol. If I wrote about my other problems, it would consume too much of my time and therefore your time, and I don't want that. :P
Day 28 - Something that you miss.I miss having time to read five books a week at the least. And enjoying cross-country on a daily basis. Those were the days. Always in the library, always chatting with the school librarian, always lugging a backpack with books and lists of books.
Day 29 - Goals for the next 30 days.I'll go with three easy goals.
- don't give up on XC--I want to finish XC senior year strong.
- keep passion with art and piano. those are the things that keep me level-headed and insanely sane :)
- lean on God and always know he is controlling whategver situation I'm in. :)
Day 30 - Your highs and lows of this month.Erm. I don't know if I should do June or July? I'll do both of what I remember :P.
Exams went quite well. Helped out at a different church's VBS for the first time and had quite a blast (even if I missed three days). Also finally got used to running on nearly a daily basis. The best high was probably finally arriving and walking in Taiwan. I love it here so so so so so much... and my mom's birthday and food and actually having access to a piano and family and hugs and TV series and happiness and laughter.
I was actually really bad with my running habits, but I got over that. Then it was my sleeping habits. I don't know why but I always feel like I never get enough sleep even though I clearly have. For example. Three kids came to my house for babysitting/playing, and I slept for an hour of the four hours they were there. I felt really bad. Eep. Riding the airplane was kind of rough. Landing after 12.5 hours is quite nerve-wracking. Also, my mom almost passed out today. Other than that, the highs outweigh the lows. I promise.
